Teeth of the Constitution

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

The Second Amendment is arguably the most important: it is the "teeth" of our Constitution.

As Thomas Jefferson said, "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

    Under Construction....

If you happened upon this blog by chance, bear with me - I'm just getting it started. Nonetheless, this should suffice for background for now: I'm Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, and Anti-Illegal Alien, among other things.

Feel free to post a comment, especially if you don't agree with my views. We can all benefit from well reasoned, rational debate.

While i dont agree with you, it's great that you put your opinion up. I would like to know why you have these opinions, esp. Pro-Life. One thing I don't agree with is that the second amendment is the most important. I think it is the first amendment that is the most important, without that amendment you would not be able to write this or even express publicly your opinion that the second amendment is most important. I am interested in why you have your beliefs, and it sound like you are a conservative, and I was wondering is you were a neo-conservative with Straussian beliefs or a classic conservative with economic motives.

I'm actually pro-illegal alien, in a way. Perhaps you might want to consider the point of view of an First Nation - Native American.

This country was stolen from its original inhabitants. This is the simple truth.

Now come the Mexicans, 8 or 9 million of them. They are not the blancos, but rather Indiana and mixed bloods, the poor campesinos. They are "taking over" in their numbers, and threaten the whiteness of the USA. Good for them. Perhaps one day TX, NM, CA, AZ etc will go back to Mexico, making up for their theft 150 yrs ago.
